Thieves Essential Oil

Thieves Essential Oil is a blend of clove bud oil, lemon peel oil, cinnamon bark oil, eucalyptus leaf oil, and rosemary leaf oil. This potent combination packs a serious punch when it comes to immunity support. The name "thieves" comes from the legend of 15th century French thieves who used a similar combination while robbing the dead and dying during the plague. When taken as a supplement and used topically, thieves supports a healthy immune system as well as a healthy respiratory system.

This is a very versatile oil, as there are so many household uses for it! In fact, there is an entire product line centered around this one oil, from toothpaste and other dental care, to household cleaner and laundry soap, and even mints!. There isn't much around the house that the Thieves blend can't handle.

This oil has become a daily staple around my house. Here are our favorite uses:

1. Healthy Immune Support: 10 drops in a 10-ml roller filled with coconut oil (or other organic carrier oil) rolled on the bottoms of our feet daily in a.m.

2. Cleaning Spray: 3 drops in a 2 oz glass spray bottle filled with distilled water; this can be used to clean surfaces. I spray surfaces and then wipe with a microfiber cloth. Take a bottle of this on the go and spray shopping carts, too!

3. "Thieves Tea" (used for immune boost): 1 drop thieves, 1 drop lemon, 1 drop peppermint, 1 tsp honey in a warm mug of tea or water

4. Dishwasher booster: 1 drop added to dishwasher soap (or spray some of the cleaning spray in the dishwasher before running) will help eliminate residue on dishes.

5. Hand Sanitizer: Use a 2 oz squeeze bottle and combine the following: 3 Tbsp 100% aloe vera gel, 1/8 tsp Vitamin E Oil, 1 Tbsp distilled water, and 5-10 drops of Thieves. Carry with you for an on-the-go immune boost/water-less hand cleaner!

These are just a few reasons why I love Thieves Essential Oil. But, you certainly don't have to take my word for it. Want to do your own research about this oil? Here are some great sites to begin your search (though, you'll likely need to search by individual oils in the blend):

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense Essential Oil

Let's talk about one of my favorite essential oils, Frankincense!  Probably the most famous essential oil of all, there are over 50 references in the Bible, and we all know Frankincense as having been one of the gifts the magi brought to Jesus.  It was considered more valuable than gold in ancient times for it's amazing health benefits.  So we know it's amazing, but how do we use it???

Oh so many ways!  I love the ability of this oil to calm me down when I'm feeling anxious.  I put 1 drop in my palm, rub my palms together, cup and inhale deeply.  You can almost feel yourself going back to simpler times.  I diffuse this oil whenever I meditate or pray and it really enhances my connection to God and to my inner self.

Frankincense, along with many other essential oils, is actually able to cross the blood brain barrier, and because of its ability to support the nervous system, it can be beneficial for people with all different types of nervous disorders.  I've actually been using frankincense on my daughter who was born with a brain disorder and have seen surprising improvements in her fine motor and oral motor skills!

Another great use of this oil is in supporting the skin.  I use this nightly, along with lavender and lemon diluted as a moisturizer on my face and have seen a noticeable difference in the evenness of my skin tone, as well as a decrease in fine lines and have even seen my freckles lighten!

Also, to alleviate head discomfort, put 1 drop frankincense on your thumb and apply it to the roof of your mouth for 1 minute.

Frankincense is also great for respiratory issues and supporting the immune system.  I diffuse this along with thieves or RC whenever I want to step up my kids immune systems or to knock out something brewing before it starts.

I love using the benefits of nature to keep my family happy and healthy and wouldn't have it any other way!  Want to research for yourself why oils are amazing?  Try these sites!

Peppermint Essential Oil

It was love at first scent for Peppermint Essential Oil and me. This was the oil that opened my world to all essential oils. At my first Young Living Essential Oils 101 class, I got to place a drop of Peppermint Oil in my hands, and then cup my hands over my face and take in the amazing, uplifting smell. Immediately, I felt everything opening up, and felt so invigorated and refreshed. Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Essential Oil has long been regarded for its uses of supporting normal digestion and healthy intestinal and gastrointestinal system functions.  Its uplifting aroma can help with occasional head tension and, in combination with lemon and lavender, can help seasonal nasal and sinus discomfort.

Throughout my journey with essential oils, this has remained one of my favorites. I love adding a drop in my water while I am exercising to help refresh my energy, or I'll roll some on diluted to my belly button for digestive comfort, or to my temples to ease head tension after a long day. Additionally, I've used a drop in my belly button when I have a rise in temperature. As it's safe for children, my kids have also benefited many times from these uses, as well, especially when they have upset tummies.

Peppermint Essential Oil has so many amazing health benefits, but it's also delicious in recipes! Here are some of my personal favorites:

1. Add 5 drops to your favorite brownie mix and bake as normal. These are AMAZING!!

2. Add 3-5 drops to a glass pitcher of water along with some cucumber slices. It's your very own fancy spa drink! Your friends will really be impressed - trust me!

3. One drop turns regular mocha iced coffee into a peppermint mocha! YUMMY!

4. One drop in your regular coffee helps to eliminate coffee breath.

5. Add a drop of peppermint along with a drop of thieves and lemon to a warm mug of water or hot tea with a little spoonful of honey, and you've got a recipe for "Thieves Tea," my go-to when I feel any kind of sickness start to come on. It knocks that bug right out!

This is my own personal testimony of why I love Peppermint Essential Oil so much, but you certainly don't have to take my word for it. Want to do your own research about this oil? Check out the following peer-reviewed studies, or discover some yourself at:

Welcome to our Blog!

Thanks for visiting our blog! We, Erin and Angela, met just over 3 years ago through a mutual friend when a new Bunco Group was formed. Our socializing started with rolling dice once a month, but eventually we developed a great friendship, and now we share a love of Essential Oils. We welcome you to join us on our journey with Young Living Essential Oils, as we learn and share all about God's amazing resources!

Hello world! My name is Erin Shubert Rosiere. I‘m a part-time physical therapist by day, oily sharer by night, and mother of two wonderful girls! I became a member of Young Living to help my family, but once we started benefiting from the oils, there was no way I could keep them to myself. I felt compelled to share the amazing goodness of nature with everyone! My passions are my family, helping people improve their lives, and improving myself through natural wellness. I feel blessed that my love of essential oils has allowed me to work on all three of these passions at once. As a physical therapist, I’ve seen the benefits the oils can have on people with all different types of ailments. I would absolutely LOVE to meet you, be your mentor, and be on your oily journey to wellness with you!!!

Hi y‘all! My name is Angela Perret. Originally from Texas, I now live in New Orleans, my husband’s hometown. Since moving here 5 years ago, I’ve learned to make it my home, too. One of the best experiences during this time was discovering Young Living Essential Oils. Since incorporating them into my lifestyle, I have grown my passion for wanting to share their benefits with others. When something this good comes along, how could you not want to tell the world? Once I realized the amazing, positive impact they were having on myself and my children, the more people I wanted to tell about them. Starting with Young Living also re-kindled my passion for crafting and sewing, which I have been able to incorporate into my Young Living business. I now run an ETSY shop where I sell my handmade diffuser necklaces and travel “oil roll-up” bags, with new products always in the works (etsy.com/shop/EOaccessoriesNOLA). Not only has Young Living benefited my health, but has also encouraged my creative side as well. I encourage you to see how essential oils can change your life for the better, too.
