Lavender Essential Oil/Lavender Vitality



Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Essential Oil is a wonderfully calming oil, bringing comfort to the entire body from head to toe. When diffused, this oil helps to encourage peaceful, relaxation, which makes it an especially great choice for bedtime diffusing. Adding a few drops to bath products such as soaps, shampoos, and the like makes for a spa-like shower experience. Lavender is also soothing to the skin and can provide relief when used on cuts, scrapes, and bruises.

Lavender Vitality makes for a versatile addition to culinary experiences. From savory dishes, with herbs like thyme, rosemary, and oregano, to sweet desserts or fruit jellies, this oil can enhance almost any dish.

Some of my favorite uses for Lavender and Lavender Vitality are:

1.  Lavender Vitality-Lemon Vitality water: I like adding a drop to a pitcher with a few drops of Lemon Vitality and just a little sweetener to give my citrus water a twist, or I'll just add one drop of each to a glass of water.

2. Lavender roller: 10 drops in a 10 ml roller bottle filled with carrier oil (my personal favorite is organic olive oil) - I roll this on to support the skin after minor injuries.

3. Diffusing Lavender with Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oils are what we call the "Mardi Gras Trio" to help support our sinuses during times of seasonal discomfort.

4. I add a drop to my Shampoo and Conditioner recipes to support healthy hair.

5. I like adding Lavender to my DIY Foaming Hand Soap for a smooth hands.

6. A drop of Lavender can be comforting on canker sores, though I must say, I find it tastes a little weird all by itself, but the relief is worth it to me!

7. I use a few drops of Lavender in my moisturizer as well, which is in a roller bottle filled with Jojoba oil along with several drops of Frankincense and Lemon Essential Oils.
